Safety Maintenance

Island Charter will provide fully inspected and licensed buses that are equipped with functional seat belts for each child. All Island Charter vehicles are equipped with Fire Extinguishers, First Aids Kits, Body Fluid Kits, Fire Blankets, Seat Belt Cutters and Flashlights. They are also equipped with two way communications. All Island Charter vehicles go thru a Preventive Maintenance check every 3,000 miles and are inspected by the New York State Department of Transportation every 6 months. Also in accordance with State and Federal Laws, drivers are required to perform pre- and post-trip inspection of their vehicle to assure the safety of it passengers.
